Star Mountain Ranch Policies

A 50% deposit is required to secure your hunting date. The balance is due upon arrival in cash, cashiers or certified check, or credit card. Your hunting price includes lodging, meals and hunting license.

Star Mountain Ranch can give recommendations to several qualified meat processors and taxidermists, however we not responsible for the timeline or purchase of these procedures.

Your guide will assure you get a shot at a distance you are most comfortable with. He will also assist you in estimating the trophy size and cost of the bull you are interested in. The final decision to harvest the bull will be your responsibility.If the bull does not score within your trophy class range,the price will adjusted to the appropriate trophy level. The antlers will be green scored in your presence following Safari Club International scoring guidelines. This score alone will determine the trophy price and will not be subject to change.

If the animal is wounded as evidence by blood, this will be counted as your kill. Due to the diligence and determination of our expert guide staff, we have yet to lose an animal, however in the event the animal is found after your departure we will send the cape (if suitable for taxidermy) and antlers to you at no additional cost.

Star Mountain Ranch will assume no responsibility for hunting accidents, health risks associated with hunting, loss or expense arising there from. We have an excellent injury free record and our guides take the utmost care to insure your safety. We reserve the right to cancel a hunt immediately due to irresponsible or dangerous behavior by our guests.
