Star Mountain Ranch,

I just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed the hunt you took me at Star Mtn. Ranch.  From Sunday afternoon when we watched the elk and deer come in to the water at the spring till we started hunting the next morning.  It was so enjoyable to see all those different elk.  It was also a treat to see the big buffalo come to within 70 yards and lay down.

That first afternoon hunt was so exciting to see all those elk, some bedded, some grazing, and especially the one raking his horns on those cedar trees and sparing a little with that other elk.  But to top it all off was then we circled around to see him bugle right in front of us.  It gave me a n experience I will never forger.  It brought tears to my eyes thinking - I wish my son Eric could have been here with me to enjoy this special moment.  I didn’t know if I could enjoy hunting or fishing again like all those special times we had together.  On this hunt I not only got that great elk that was bugling, but to enjoy the hunting experience was good for my soul that misses my son every day and the fun times we had.

Thanks so much for putting me on the great bull elk and showing me a good time.  It saddens me to think that the hunt that I looked forward to for so many months is now over.  It will always be implanted in my mind and soul forever.  I hope someday I can come back to your ranch and enjoy another hunt and make some more memories.
